Job description
Communications Lead (Internal Communications)

Employment Type: Contract (18 months with possible extension)
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Location: Tampa, FL area


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Communications Lead to support enterpriselevel internal communications initiatives within a large, corporate environment. This role is primarily focused on internal communications, serving as a strategic liaison between HR, IT, and other global business functions to ensure clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across the organization.

This position will augment an existing team and is ideal for a selfstarter who can operate independently, build strong relationships with senior leaders, and thrive within a collaborative, tightknit team.


Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications Strategy

  • Develop and execute internal communications plans aligned with corporate strategy and functional priorities
  • Support employee experience initiatives by delivering clear, timely, and engaging communications
  • Ensure messaging is consistent, onbrand, and aligned with organizational culture


Content Development & Delivery

  • Create and deliver communications across multiple channels, including:

    • Internal websites and intranets
    • Employee newsletters
    • Digital and multimedia content (videos, graphics, posters)
    • Webinars and virtual events


  • Draft and edit highquality written content, ensuring grammatical accuracy and clarity
  • Develop compelling stories and presentations to drive engagement and understanding


Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and crossfunctional partners to understand communication needs
  • Influence and advise leaders on messaging strategy, tone, and delivery
  • Develop executivelevel communications such as announcements, articles, presentations, and leadership messaging


Change Management & Employee Engagement

  • Lead and support change management communications related to systems, processes, and organizational initiatives
  • Anticipate future communication needs and recommend new tools or approaches
  • Support communications for global and diverse workforces, including operational or fieldbased ("deskless") employees


Digital Communications & Analytics

  • Develop and execute digital communication plans using data and analytics to measure effectiveness
  • Optimize content and channels based on engagement metrics and insights


Collaboration & Project Support

  • Work closely with internal communications delivery teams to plan and execute initiatives
  • Partner across functions such as HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Diversity & Inclusion
  • Support additional communications and publicaffairsrelated initiatives as assigned


Required Qualifications
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, Law, or a related field


Experience

  • 6+ years of experience developing and executing communication strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in a large, corporate or enterprise environment
  • Experience working directly with senior leaders and leadership teams
  • Experience delivering communications across multiple channels and geographies
  • Experience managing sensitive or confidential communications with discretion
