Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

The Senior Analyst Syndications Capital Market Analyst position on the FCB's Capital Markets team is responsible for assisting with structuring, pricing, and distributing all lead financings originated by FCB's various lending business units. This position will primarily support the syndication and execution of project finance and infrastructure-related transactions originated by FCB's Energy and TMT verticals, including renewable energy, power, data centers, telecom, and related infrastructure asset classes.


Responsibilities

FCB's Capital Markets team is responsible for structuring, pricing, and distributing all lead financings originated by FCB's various lending business units. This position will primarily support the syndication and execution of project finance and infrastructure-related transactions originated by FCB's Energy and TMT verticals, including renewable energy, power, data centers, telecom, and related infrastructure asset classes

The Loan Syndications Analyst will support all elements of syndication execution, including:

  • Working alongside industry teams to help structure, underwrite, and pitch lead transactions
  • Preparing transaction marketing materials, including lender presentations, confidential information memoranda, lender models, and other materials to support syndication of FCB-led financings
  • Supporting lender and investor dialogue through initial outreach, diligence coordination, Q&A, and closing
  • Managing data rooms to facilitate review of marketing materials, diligence materials, and legal documentation
  • Tracking lender feedback, market soundings, and syndication progress throughout execution
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including coverage teams, credit, legal counsel, portfolio management, and investors

Support underwriting and transaction analysis, including financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, debt sizing, and review of transaction structures, financing terms, and key credit considerations

Support ongoing market intelligence and ad hoc initiatives, including:

  • Maintaining debt comparables and tracking market activity across covered sectors
  • Preparing market update presentations for client pitches, conferences, and internal meetings
  • Supporting additional requests in connection with FCB Capital Markets growth initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Credit analysis, financial statement spreading, Underwriting or Risk Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Credit analysis, financial statement spreading, Underwriting or Risk Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in loan syndications, project finance, infrastructure finance, credit underwriting, portfolio management, investment banking, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Strong academic performance
  • Experience in syndication, capital markets, commercial finance, project finance, infrastructure finance, energy, power, telecom, digital infrastructure, or a related sector
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to articulate complex transaction

If hired in New York, the base pay for this position is generally between $110,000 and $130,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment
