Provide guests with quality customer service by demonstrating excellent knowledge of all menu items. Serve food and beverages to guests and maintain a clean dining area by bussing tables in a punctual, courteous, efficient, and accurate manner. You will act as an advocate for the Biergarten, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return. * Work as a team with your coworkers, keeping all areas clean, dry, and safe. * Perform light bartending and bar back duties. * Assist with setting and bussing tables and seating guests. * Greet and welcome guests and promptly attend to tables. * Uphold proper table maintenance and clearing etiquette. * Receive and take guest orders; process them in the POS system quickly and accurately. * Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to guests. * Learn and maintain product knowledge of the food, wine, and beverage menu(s). * Be comfortable working outdoors. * Attend all company and restaurant-required trainings and meetings. * Maintain constant communication with team members and management. * Ensure guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience; relay any concerns to management. * Take on additional responsibilities as needed-we all wear multiple hats at Kimpton. What do you bring to the role? * 1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred. * Food Handler and RAMP certifications (if applicable). * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. * Ability to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests. * Knowledge of, or ability to learn, the restaurant POS system. * Ability to calculate accurate bill amounts and maintain proper cash handling and credit card procedures. * Excellent communication and presentation skills. * Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences. * Highly motivated and flexible, with the ability to take initiative. * Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
