Position Summary: This position will be responsible for assisting in gathering, investigating, and tracking of Safety information. Ground investigations will be accomplished at the direction of SRC in conjunction with other departments and outside agencies. Technical investigation reports will be prepared and utilized for tracking and Company support. All reporting must be comprehensive.

Major Job Accountabilities:



  • Investigate ground and ramp safety events
  • Investigate GSE/vehicle incidents andaircraftdamage events
  • Investigate Incidents of Concern (IOCs) and coordinate findings with relevant departments
  • Conduct witness interviews and take formal statements in support of safety investigations
  • Prepare andsubmitrequired reports to regulatory agencies, including the FAA, and serve as a point of contact during regulatory inquiries and investigations
  • Provide support for station audits
  • Gather data from ground investigations
  • Identifypositive and negative safety trends
  • Solicit and process safety improvement suggestions
  • Assistin developing andmaintainingsafety awareness
  • Writereports based on empirical safety and investigation data
  • Deliver regular briefings and presentations to internal stakeholders, including participation in daily safety calls and monthly reporting
  • Providetimelyadvice andassistanceon ground and aviation safety matters
  • Industry safety data comparisons
  • Actively engage in the Company's Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Attend and act as Company representative at industry conference(s) as needed
  • Maintain an on-call status during off-duty hours for screening of safety-related events and investigation initiation
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or higher; preferably with an aviation or safety-related discipline
  • Knowledge of Part 121 airline ground operations and procedures
  • Familiarity with FAA regulatory requirements and reporting obligations under Part 121 preferred
  • Experience conducting interviews, taking formal statements, or deposition experience preferred
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills; comfortable briefing diverse audiences in both routine and time-sensitive contexts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Must be self-starter, able to work with little supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel may berequired; must be able to travel without restrictions
  • Must successfully complete specialized Company training (Loadmaster, etc.)


Special Demands:



  • Travel will berequiredon an occasional basis (<20%); must be able to travel without restrictions with little to no warning.
  • Working during non-traditional hours as needed (nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Maintain an on-call status and contact-ability during off-duty hours for screening of safety-related events.


Skills:



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly to varied audiences.
  • Experience with formal interviewing techniques or statement-taking preferred.
  • Preferably familiar with Veoci and WBAT.

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range
$62,500 $84,000 USD
