About the role:

We are searching for a Project Engineer-Solar on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will be supporting utility scale solar farm design and construction. In this position, you will be responsible for managing 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects. You will have a record of coordinating project stakeholders and mobilizing teams of engineers to achieve business objectives. You will have experience applying value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems, along with thorough knowledge of the various applicable engineering disciplines including electrical, structural, civil, and materials. A preferred candidate will have experience successfully managing schedules and budgets for major capital projects.

Location: Prefer in office Juno Beach, FL or Remote

1-year contract assignment.(W-2)

Remote work will be considered based on experience level.

Ideally looking for candidates who live or be near Juno Beach, Florida.

Even if remote, candidates would be expected to travel to the office in Juno Beach periodically. Trips to Juno Beach would be more frequent in the first 3-6 months as the candidate settles into the role. 25% travel required

Key Responsibilities:

• Project engineering responsibilities span from initial concept definition to construction and final commissioning. They require coordination with diverse project team members, such as environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers. This coordination is necessary for both early stage and construction.

Qualifications:

• 5 years' experience. We can make exceptions for less than 5 years if that experience makes a good match.
• We prefer engineering and project management experience on utility scale solar projects.
• We may also consider engineering and project management in the following fields: DG/commercial solar and other technologies in the power industry - wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, transmission.
• Candidates with experience outside of the power industry (aerospace, civil/stormwater, etc)

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $45.00/hr. to $50.00/hr.
