GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides instruction for assigned courses during designated academic terms and contributes to the mission, vision, goals, and values of the institution and its academic division. Includes developing, planning, delivering, and evaluating theoretical, laboratory, and/or clinical course components. Participates in ongoing, systematic evaluation processes to support program quality and continuous improvement. PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values. 2. *Leads course activities, classroom, lab, and/or clinical as assigned, in alignment with course credits, course objectives, and available resources. 3. *Responsible for development, planning, implementation and evaluation of the theoretical, laboratory, and/or clinical components of assigned courses. 4. Applies organizational values and philosophy in work activities and interactions with others. 5. *Develops as an educator by systematically delivering, assessing, evaluating, and updating assigned courses to improve course quality. 6. *Engages with students as scholars by conveying subject matter expertise utilizing evidence-based practice and methods that promote critical thinking. 7. *Applies current scholarship in relevant fields to maintain currency of course content and materials. 8. Participates in formal and informal department ongoing systematic evaluation of the program and organization, as appropriate. 9. *Adheres to all policies and procedures. 10. Supports committee decisions and offers input as appropriate in development of educational policies. 11. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. 12. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned. 13. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned. (Essential Job functions are marked with an asterisk "*". Demonstrates theoretical and practical knowledge in field of study for application to educational settings. 2. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions. 3. Skill in with information technology systems relevant to the faculty role. 4. Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate curricula. 5. Ability to teach in individual, small and large group settings and function under the direction of the program leadership. 6. Ability to apply teaching and learning strategies to organize course content for students. 7. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 8. Ability to evaluate student attainment of objectives. 9. Ability to perform crucial conversations with desired outcomes. 10. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff. 11. Ability to problem solve and engage independent critical thinking skills. 12. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information. 13. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision. 14.
