Description

The Coordinator of Admissions and Student Affairs administers multiple aspects of the admissions process and student services to meet the needs of prospective and enrolled students. This individual provides customer service at the highest level by ensuring appropriate communication information is maintained with students. This individual oversees the planning and execution of admissions, student affairs, and college-wide events that contribute to new student enrollment and engagement within the college.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:



  1. Responsible for performing routine clerical and office duties for Admissions and Student Affairs, including but not limited to answering the telephone, data integrity, performing budget reconciliations, preparing reports, ordering office supplies, proofreading, and preparing correspondence.
  2. Monitors and maintains data integrity through the administration of university admissions databases, including report generation, applicant correspondence, record keeping, yearly software upgrades, etc. Implements policies and procedures that maintain the confidentiality of student records consistent with guidelines and standards set forth by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
  3. Ensures student files are complete and official transcripts are received. Compares academic transcripts and application information with entrance requirements to determine satisfactory completion of the admissions requirements. Provides transcript documentation to the university Registrar and the College of Pharmacy Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
  4. Coordinates logistics pertaining to admissions and acceptance, to include interview days, orientation, and student onboarding. Schedules appropriate venues, technical support, meals, reserves parking, coordinates event decorations, and other details related to specific event needs.
  5. Provides leadership and coordination for pharmacy special events and activities. Maintains relationships with campus entities to engage current students in initiatives that further our college culture and foster studentbelonging, such as White Coat Ceremony, First Day We Pray, Homecoming, ThanksMAS, Fall and Spring Picnics, P3 Pinning, and Commencement festivities.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions and Student Affairs.


Education: Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of university admissions and/or special event planning is preferred.

Experience: One year of related experience or specialized training. {or equivalent combination of education and experience}

Job Related Skills: Requires strong computer skills, confidentiality, telephone etiquette, decision-making skills, good oral and written communication skills and strong supervisory skills. Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office suite products.
