THE POSITION

This Information Technology Technician role with the Delaware County Area Agency on Aging is a great chance to make a real impact each day! DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Information Technology Technician, you will support the technology needs of staff, volunteers, and contracted providers while ensuring that systems run smoothly across the agency. Work involves a mix of hardware support, software maintenance, and daily troubleshooting. Your duties will include:

  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on IT support to employees, volunteers, and providers across the agency
  • Account Management: Create and maintain user accounts and permissions in county approved systems
  • Device Maintenance: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Software Support: Apply updates, manage applications, and ensure systems follow county standards
  • Network Tasks: Monitor performance and address basic connectivity or access issues
  • Documentation Work: Ensure reporting, data management, and IT documentation are accurate and complete

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after six months and depending on operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Eddystone. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • An associate's degree in any information technology field; or
  • Two years of experience providing information technology support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
