Job Description:

The Production Supervisor will plan production operations, establish priorities and sequence for manufacturing products. They will utilize knowledge of production processes, machine and plant capability, and HR requirements to achieve On Time Delivery and Build To Schedule.This position will also review production orders to determine types, quantities, variations, specifications and proposed delivery of products. Will also be responsible for reviewing team member hours and materials needed to complete assignments. Responsibilities:
  • Develops measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality. Implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment and tools that improve work flow, efficiency, and Team Member safety.
  • Coordinates production requirements with material handling and other functions.
  • Interprets specifications, and orders such as engineering change notices to Team Members, makes and participates in assignments, and conducts inspections of work.
  • Initiates communications on employee relations matters such as promotions, transfers, attendance, discipline, work conditions, and personal assistance. Resolves Team Member problems, facilitating solutions or forwarding situations to higher authority.
  • Ensures a safe and healthy work environment. Ensures that all Team Members are trained and observe safe practices.
  • Reviews production reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to continually minimize costs and enhance productivity and quality.
  • Oversees and participates in the inspection of materials used in the manufacture ofutilityproducts.
  • Conducts reviews of departmental Team Member performance.
  • Develops and ensures training for current and new team members. Communicates company philosophies and policies, teaches and demonstrates work routines, and documents performance.
  • Maintains records of day-to-day activity including time and materials, process steps, and occurrences of important issues or activities.
  • Inspects machines to ensure optimal utilization. May set up and/or verify settings on production machines.
  • Develop and implement efficiency program to continuously reduce waste and optimize manpower using Lean principles.
  • Conducts Daily audits of their area to ensure TM compliance.
  • Effectively investigates and root cause all quality issues.
Basic Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 3 Years of experience in a manufacturing/fabrication facility
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fabrication Experience
  • Welding Experience
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience
This is a 2nd shift position.
