Description Candidate will be required to administer pre-approval referrals for internal members of the health plan. This will require the candidate to work hand in hand with a team of RN's. Candidate will be responsible for gathering information from the patients primary care physician before referring them a specialist. In HMOs and other managed care schemes, a referral is usually necessary to see any practitioner or specialist other than your primary care physician (PCP), if you want the service to be covered. The referral is obtained from your PCP, who may require a telephone or office consultation first. Candidate will also be required to make referrals for commercial insurance members and members of hospital systems. Right now this is listed as a 2-3 month contract TBD on if it could turn into a long term role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sunrise, FL.
