At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. Our Data Analytics (DA) team is seeking an AI Enablement Specialist with a strong background in software implementation and interpretation. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced communication and facilitation capabilities to support customers across all CPCCo functional areas, enabling the effective adoption and integration of AI tools, while continuing to support and enhance data analytics solutions.

A typical day as an AI Enablement Specialist involves, but is not limited to the following:

* Serve as an AI coach and process improvement enabler, working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify opportunities and provide recommendations for leveraging Hanford-approved (FedRAMP) AI solutions.

* Participate in discussions with clients to gather AI business requirements, assess AI use cases, review software documentation, gain hand-on experience to collate information to inform and support decision making.

* Translate business requirements for AI solutions into software specifications. Coordinate with technical team to assess feasibility of achieving requirements within available solutions or future enhancements of existing tools as well as new solutions.

* Act as a cross-functional liaison, translating business needs for technical teams and facilitating feedback between clients and technical personnel.

* Serve as a superuser of Hanford Site AI tools, i.e. HAL (OpenAI GPT-4 architecture), CoPilot and others, understanding the feature sets, configuration, data boundaries, and upcoming product releases to perform gap analysis.

* Perform analysis of system data and business processes to understand, map, and optimize data and AI connections across platforms.

* Evaluate new AI use cases, recommend and support FedRAMP-approved software solutions, and coordinate procurement, onboarding, and implementation.

* Design and develop test cases, perform system testing, and document test results of AI features for improved user experience.

* Validate and test AI-enabled solutions against established SQA benchmarks prior to rollout.

* Lead, develop and facilitate workshops and trainings in AI prompting and process improvement methodologies.

* Provide coaching and support for AI adoption, assisting departments with translation and enablement tasks.

* Manage and prioritize diverse tasks to meet evolving business priorities.

* Perform work in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner.


Basic Qualifications


* Career Level Grade 16: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 5 or more years of relevant experience.

* Career Level Grade 17: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 6 or more years of relevant experience.

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* Bachelor's degree in computer science (CS), information technology (IT), artificial intelligence (AI), business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

* Experience with UX (front-end design) for AI tools.

* Experience in analytics, data management, or technical support roles; exposure to AI/ML tools and FedRAMP-approved software.

* Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and communication with both technical and business users.

* Familiarity with SQA standards, HAL (OpenAI GPT-4) and Microsoft Copilot experience preferred.

* Ability to lead, facilitate, and document prompt engineering and AI enablement processes.

* Proven problem-solving, process improvement, multitasking, and coaching skills.

* Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred.


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

* Career Level Grade 16: $81,500 - $125,250.

* Career Level Grade 17: $86,200- $137,650.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
