POSITION SUMMARY



The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing a team Facilities support staff who provide comprehensive infrastructure, building and grounds maintenance at the Constellis Training Center in Moyock, NC. This role ensures all buildings, structures, roadways, waterways, ranges, and training areas are maintained in safe, compliant, and fully operational condition to support training operations.



RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Oversee work schedules to ensure staff is available and operational to support regular and emergency maintenance activities
  • Ensure related company policies and procedures are followed, including parts inventory, equipment accountability, and requisitioning of replacement stock
  • Maintain 100% property accountability of assigned machines, tools, parts, and equipment
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee grounds maintenance activities for the training center, including roadways, waterways, drainage systems, ranges, and training areas
  • Ensure roads, trails, and driving surfaces are properly graded, repaired, and maintained to support vehicle and tactical training operations
  • Oversee waterway and drainage maintenance, including erosion control, debris removal, and water flow management to maintain safe training conditions
  • Coordinate general grounds repairs, including fencing, berms, target infrastructure supports, signage, and safety features
  • Ensure all grounds maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all ranges and training areas are properly maintained, safe, and operational
  • Facilitate and oversee ordering, manufacturing, installation, repair, and delivery of target systems and related infrastructure
  • Coordinate maintenance work that minimizes disruption to training schedules
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Work is based in a busy training environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent outdoor work in inclement weather is required, including heat, cold, humidity, and rain. May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Must wear PPE as required by Company safety standards
  • Normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; extended hours or weekends may be required based on operational needs
  • Other duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS




  • Eight (8) or more years of progressive experience in facilities or grounds maintenance operations at a large or complex site, including responsibility for machinery, equipment, roadways, and/or training or industrial infrastructure
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing or supervising maintenance of facilities or grounds personnel
  • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing multi-functional maintenance teams in a safety-sensitive or high-tempo operational environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and operational demands
  • Ability to operate or oversee the use of heavy equipment and tools used in grounds, road, and infrastructure maintenance
  • Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push, or move objects up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods, including across uneven terrain and in inclement weather conditions
