Overview

Due to growth, Carle Health is excited to add a BE/BC Hematology/Oncology physician to join our growing Cancer Care teams in Olney and Mattoon, Illinois.


Opportunity Details

  • Candidates with experience and new graduates are welcome to apply. Mentorship for new graduates will be provided.
  • Training and interest in both Hematology and Oncology are required.
  • The Hematology/Oncology physician would practice 3 days per week at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL and 2 days per week at our Carle Mattoon on Hurst clinic in Mattoon, IL.
  • Join a multidisciplinary team with Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Gynecologic Oncologists, Breast Surgeons, genetic and nutrition counseling services.
  • Practice in a multi-disciplinary setting with Weekly Disease Specific Tumor Boards (Upper GI, Lower GI, Breast, Thoracic, etc.) and strong support from Radiation Oncology and all Surgical Services.
  • Our Breast Cancer Program at the Carle Cancer Institute in Urbana, IL has both CoC and NAPBC Accreditations with weekly Breast Cancer Tumor Board and Multi-disciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic.

About the Carle Cancer Institute:

  • Strong clinical cancer research with a National Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) Grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
  • Currently > 100 open clinical trials at Urbana campus for cancer patients in East Central Illinois.
  • Carle Cancer Institute is home of Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute with an existing opportunity to support investigator initiated studies.
  • Close collaboration with the University of Illinois Basic Science Cancer Center in Urbana, Illinois.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $625,000 - $700,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
