Overview

Provide routine rehabilitation activities to aid in the delivery of patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist, occupational, or speech therapist. Responsible for transferring and transporting of therapy patients.
Qualifications

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA), Education: , Work Experience: 6months of Healthcare experience


Responsibilities

Communicates with patients, team members and other professionals for the purpose of sharing information that will assist in achieving optimum care for the patient. Establishes effective rapport with patients of all ages.Administers direct patient care related activities and assists a licensed physical, occupational or speech therapist following demonstration of competency in each area.Assists licensed therapists in providing group therapy services in physical PT, OT and/or Speech.Communicates potential patient problems or observations of change in patient behavior to the attending therapist.Performs daily sanitation of gym areas. Cleans equipment, tables, mats and other areas of patient contact.Promotes patient safety by reporting issues through established channels and participates in safety initiatives as requested.Participates in the continuous quality improvement proects.Follows appropriate safety and infection control measures pertaining to patient care equipment and the general working environment. Promptly reports any problems to immediate supervisor.Actively participates in departmental meetings, in-services and continuing education programs.Complies with organizational and departmental patient satisfaction initiatives. Routinely meets the needs and expectations of patient and familes.Notifies appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and follows through with appropriate repair procedures.Completes competencies in a timely manner.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $15.91per hour - $25.77per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
