Network / System Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Systems Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for a team-oriented and self-motivated individual to join an Exchange Operations team responsible for maintaining a 99.9% SLA. The candidate will manage large-scale Exchange 2016+ environments, including DAG configurations across multiple data centers. The position involves reviewing documentation, managing Remedy tickets, implementing change controls, and interfacing with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Exchange environments operationally, utilizing SCOM for monitoring
• Troubleshoot and determine the root cause of Exchange mail flow issues for a multiple client environment
• Take ownership of initiatives and issues through to completion
• Work in a collaborative environment using tools like Skype, WebEx, or Teams
• Handle on-call availability and demonstrate flexibility
• Assist with reviewing documentation, Remedy ticketing, and implementing change controls

Requirements:

• 5 to 10 years of experience with Exchange 2016 or higher servers
• Must have experience with Multi-Node DAGs across multiple data centers and Clustering in a large Exchange environment
• Proficient with Splunk
• Ability to take ownership of an initiative/issue through completion
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with LOBs, clients, and tech-savvy stakeholders
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and provide daily productive results

Desired skills:

• Experience with Exchange Online / Microsoft 365
• ITIL Certification and an in-depth understanding of ITIL principles, functions, and processes
• Server, Storage & Network experience
• Automation skills to reduce manual activities
• Proven team player who can work comfortably in a multicultural environment
• Proven ability to work independently, multi-task and effectively work in a complex environment with a global team structure
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 per hour
