The Nursing Practice Specialist is responsible for developing educational programs, clinical decision-making, management of quality outcomes, and participation in research activities. Provide patient care in the clinical environment, health promotion, disease prevention, health education, and patient and family counseling activities.
Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions Provides expert-level consultation and advises clinical staff on the formulation of diagnoses and treatment plans for patients and families. -Plans and delivers relevant staff and patient education to nurses and other members of the health care team on matters regarding plan of care for patient and family. -Actively participates in research and evidence-based practice activities that will positively affect patient care outcomes. -Provide health care services to patients. -Forming a diagnosis and management and treatment of illness and disease. Lunder 10 is a highly specialized inpatient oncology unit caring for patients with hematologic malignancies, including BMT, cellular therapy, and complex clinical research protocols. The Nurse Practice Specialist is an essential member of the Lunder 10 leadership team and plays a critical role in supporting safe, evidence-based nursing and PCA practice through clinical education, bedside consultation, onboarding, competency development, and real-time practice support. This role is also integral to our HRO work, helping monitor quality metrics and translate those findings into meaningful education, practice changes, and frontline engagement for the care team.
