Position Summary

The Office of Academic Program Review and Assessment (OAPRA) team partners with colleagues across the university to spur academic innovation, foster academic excellence, and prioritize student success. The Accreditation and Assessment Project Coordinator will support this mission and team by serving as a project administrator for several timely and critical accreditation and assessment projects. These projects include, but are not limited to, creating or revising curriculum review and assessment guidance content across a variety of media; supporting development of internal processes and systems to manage assessment reporting and feedback; supporting curriculum review and assessment events and initiatives for faculty and staff; supporting efforts to develop a framework for general education assessment; providing research, analysis, and reporting on accreditation matters; and supporting the implementation of long-term accreditation strategy. The project coordinator is a proactive, collaborative, self-motivated member of the OAPRA team, who will work professionally with stakeholders and academic partners across the University. Please note this is an 18-month fixed-term position.


Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in fields related to higher education, teaching and learning, social sciences, policy, management, law, or others with appropriate experience and skills.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in fields related to higher education, teaching and learning, social sciences, policy, management, law, or others with appropriate experience and skills.

Required Experience:
3+ years experience working in higher education, with a demonstrated ability to proactively support a range of project types (such as faculty-facing content development; administrative systems development; event planning and support; research & analysis; and data analysis), or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:
2+ years focused experience in one or more of the following areas in a higher education setting: curriculum review and development; academic assessment; accreditation; teaching and learning; faculty affairs; academic compliance; or other higher education compliance areas

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. Demonstrated effectiveness in managing multiple priorities in a highly collaborative environment. Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail, paired with the ability to derive high-level insights and communicate those insights succinctly for different audiences. Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Ability to write in a range of professional communication genres, such as executive summaries, talking points, analysis reports, compliance guidance, faculty-facing professional development materials, web content, newsletters. Ability to effectively develop events for faculty, academic administrators, or similar stakeholder profiles. Ability to support the development and management of long-term strategic initiatives. Ability to exercise judgment to appropriately identify and escalate sensitive issues. Takes on a self-starter approach to discover answers to questions and to generate suggested solutions for complex issues. Proficiency in Excel, G-Suite applications, CMS environments, and presentation software.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of accreditation, curriculum review, assessment, and/or academic compliance landscape, practices and principles; demonstrated ability with Asana, design software, Tableau; advanced knowledge of Excel.


Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $73,638.00 to USD $90,002.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
