Responsibilities & Expectations:

The Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership to the Maintenance Department, ensuring all manufacturing and facility equipment is in proper operating condition to support manufacturing operations and minimize downtime. The Maintenance Supervisor will recruit maintenance technicians to fill their team and provide support for the growing needs of the Swiger Coil site.

  • Serve as a front-line leader for Safety at the Swiger Coil site.
  • Support all IPS Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives.
  • Take full ownership and accountability for the maintenance of equipment and systems at Swiger Coil
  • Ensure alignment with CIPS and 6S standards to drive efficiency and safety
  • Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for production and facility equipment and systems
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility issues and equipment breakdowns
  • Coordinate with external vendors for support requiring specialty skills
  • Serve as a leader in the development, and implementation of Lockout/Tagout policies
  • Support production teams by providing timely and accurate maintenance solutions
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to extend operational life
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Excellent understanding of, and experience with, key safety programs including, but not limited to, Lockout/Tagout and Hazardous Material Handling
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, with experience in troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of 6S practices and safety compliance requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and provide hands-on support where most needed
  • Proficient in using a computer and standard Microsoft applications
  • Experienced working with an ERP system is desirable, but not required
  • Professional communication skills with all levels of the organization, from entry-level production technicians to senior leadership.
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience

Pay Rate Details:
$70,000 - $85,000 per year
