Community Health Nurse Supervisor

This position oversees public health services and guides staff in delivering essential programs across multiple counties. The work supports strong community health systems and consistent, effective services. As a Community Health Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

• Disease Surveillance: Ensure investigations of reportable diseases through approved systems and procedures
• Clinical Oversight: Direct clinical practices that support consistent delivery of public health services
• Community Assessment: Lead ongoing assessments to identify public health needs and priorities
• Partner Coordination: Guide staff in working with local agencies and organizations to meet community health goals
• Workforce Leadership: Provide direction, training, and performance evaluation to maintain a competent workforce
• Program Monitoring: Track and review public health program data to improve outcomes for assigned populations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Weekend and after-hours assignments are required as needed.
• Headquarters: Location to be determined by the selected candidate within Cumberland, Mifflin, or Juniata County.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years as a Community Health Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of community health nursing experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
  • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
