Responsibilities
Charge Nurse- 3 weekends per month- full time day shift Mercy hospital is seeking an expereinced behavioral health charge nurse to join the team in Ada, OK. The Charge Registered Nurse utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice. Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for psychiatric patients. Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions. Provide patient and family education to support understanding of treatment plans and recovery goals. Promote safety by implementing de-escalation strategies, crisis intervention, and adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. - Oversee nursing staff

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Active RN license
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - CPHON (CertifiedPediatric/Hematology/OncologyNurses) - OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) - S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment &Care Modules - C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification) - Other unit specific certifications as required
Physical Requirements: * Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. * Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. * Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
