Strategic Marketing & Communications Manager

Reports To: General ManagerStatus: Exempt

SALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $140,000 / year

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Lead the strategic planning and execution of integrated marketing and communications initiatives aligned with Conserv FS's organizational goals. This role oversees branding, messaging, digital engagement, public relations, and internal and external communications to ensure consistent, impactful, audience-focused outreach.

This position focuses on high-level strategy, coordination, and performance monitoring while collaborating with marketing team members and stakeholders to ensure day-to-day marketing execution is effectively managed and supported.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Strategic Marketing & Communications

Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with cooperative objectives.
Lead branding, messaging, and content planning across digital, print, and public channels.
Oversee public relations and serve as organizational spokesperson when appropriate.
Coordinate cross-functional messaging to support business units and ensure consistency.

Content & Digital Engagement

Manage content creation for websites, email, social media, newsletters, press releases, and marketing collaterals.
Lead social media strategy, scheduling, and digital engagement efforts to grow reach and visibility.
Ensure brand integrity and alignment across all communication materials.

Team Leadership & Support

Collaborate with the Leadership Team and the Corporate Marketing Specialist to establish, implement, and maintain the company's marketing strategy.
Ensure marketing efforts support strategic goals and drive profitability.
Oversee execution of the company's marketing strategy through the Corporate Marketing Specialist, ensuring timely implementation of marketing activities and campaign support.
Delegate day-to-day tasks such as content scheduling, graphic design coordination, event promotion, and campaign analytics.

Analytics & Optimization

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as audience reach, engagement, conversion rates, and media coverage.
Use data-driven insights to optimize future campaigns and improve overall marketing return on investment.

Budget & Tools Oversight

Manage subscriptions and tools including Constant Contact, Adobe Creative Suite, Sprout Social (or a similar platform), and Google Analytics.
Recommend and manage budgets for paid media, campaign promotions, and professional development.

Expected Outcomes

Maintain streamlined, strategic internal and external communications.

Build trust and loyalty among stakeholders and cooperative members.
Foster active, consistent collaboration across departments through aligned messaging.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Coordinate department news releases, customer communications, and internal company communications.

Attend meetings and assigned professional development programs, seminars, and training sessions.

Follow Conserv FS's Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, and applicable Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Requires a four-year degree in Business, Agriculture, Marketing, or a related field, plus at least five years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates proficiency in intermediate to advanced marketing practices.

Adobe Creative Suite and photography experience are preferred but not required.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

May be required to work beyond normal business hours to meet seasonal demands.

Occasionally required to lift 21 to 50 pounds.

Must be willing and able to travel independently, including overnight travel, as needed.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK's and Conserv FS's policies and procedures, as well as additional training related to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
