Job Summary

The Campus Programs Operations and Integration Manager leads programming and operational strategy for the Campus Usage for Youth and Adult Programs (CUYAP), a unified platform supporting internal and external partners delivering youth, pre-college, professional development, and adult programs across UMass Amherst, Charles River, and Springfield campuses.

This role collaborates with campus and community stakeholders to coordinate the use of university facilities and core operational systems, including registration, records, payroll, marketing, and assessment. Applies advanced awareness of institutional planning processes to anticipate demand, support resource allocation, and ensure programs align with the university's operational capacity.

The Manager leverages data and analytics to identify process gaps, inform recommendations, and drive the design and implementation of scalable workflows, systems, and infrastructure that enhance user experience and expand access to UMass programming.

Essential Functions

Supports and coordinates internal and external programs in their use of campus land, facilities, and resources across the UMass Amherst campus.

Collaborates with partners across campus to design, improve, and implement processes and tools that support the development and successful operation of programs and events hosted on campus.

Gathers and reviews information from a variety of sources to support planning, evaluate program performance, and inform decision-making; shares key insights and recommendations with stakeholders to guide strategy and operations.

Applies advanced awareness of institutional planning processes to anticipate demand, support resource allocation, and ensure programs align with the university's operational capacity.

Develops, maintains, and manages an inventory of current and future capabilities, processes, and system requirements that enhance program efficiency and expand access to campus resources.

Maintains frequent interaction with executive-level campus stakeholders and external organizations, develops an understanding of planning and coordination needs, and uses sound judgment to appropriately handle, share, and protect sensitive information in alignment with institutional practices.

Serves as a primary owner of the CUYAP portfolio, promoting its value, strengthening connections between the community and UMass, and ensuring that programs can effectively utilize university resources and opportunities. Advises campus leadership strategies to enhance the University's community impact through CUYAP initiatives.

Partners with marketing to drive recruitment through multi-channel strategies while developing marketing materials, coordinating outreach, managing the strategic vision of the CUYAP website and representing the initiative at in-person events, trade shows and conferences.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least five (5) years of work experience, and at least two (2) years of product, program or project management experience.

Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to assess information from multiple inputs, identify key themes or insights, and contribute to recommendations that support organizational goals.

Ability to effectively collaborate with administration, faculty, staff, and external organizations, with demonstrated customer service orientation.

Proven ability to stay organized, engaged, and attentive while learning and adapting in a complex and dynamic environment.

Ability to research, troubleshoot, and creatively problem solve.

Ability to manage change, work in a fast-paced environment, and complete simultaneous projects within deadline constraints.

Excellent ability to analyze, summarize, and clearly present data in ways usable for stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Higher education or public sector experience.

Extensive knowledge of marketing and communication platforms, procurement, reimbursement, and financial reporting systems.

Knowledge of university finance and operating policies/procedures.

Additional Details

This position is responsible for building foundational capacity and collaborative partnerships for this new initiative. As the program grows, the Manager may be responsible for supervising additional team members.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion.

Work Schedule and Work Arrangement

Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where an employee's work is regularly performed at a location other than the campus workspace for a portion of the week. As this position is non-unit, it is subject to the terms and conditions of the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees Non-Unit (Professional/or Classified) Employee Personnel Policy.

Pay Grade:PSSAP Grade 29
