Job Summary Are you passionate about building lifelong relationships and creating meaningful impact for students? The Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Officer is a high-impact role responsible for cultivating alumni and donor relationships, increasing annual giving and relaunching Mesa Community College's Alumni Advisory Board. This role blends strategic fundraising, relationship leadership, and annual campaign execution to propel a culture of philanthropy that directly advances student success and the College's mission. Essential Functions Alumni & Donor Relationship Management - 40% Annual Giving Strategy & Campaign Execution - 35% Alumni Advisory Board Leadership - 15% (Year One), 10% Thereafter Communications, Stewardship & Impact Reporting - 10% Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in marketing, communications, fundraising, business, management, nonprofit management, nonprofit leadership, mathematics, life science, physical science, English, journalism, history, psychology, or a related field and two years of experience assisting with and/or coordinating various fundraising campaigns and activities. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. Experience managing a portfolio of donors or prospective donors, including developing engagement or solicitation strategies aligned with individual philanthropic interests. B. Experience setting and conducting in-person donor discovery, cultivation, or solicitation meetings and building relationships that lead to philanthropic support. C. Experience developing annual giving or fundraising campaigns using multiple channels (e.g., direct mail, digital outreach, crowdfunding, giving days, or other online platforms). D. Experience identifying, recruiting, and engaging volunteers or alumni leaders to serve on boards, advisory groups, or committees. E. Experience establishing goals, tracking progress, and analyzing results to improve fundraising or engagement outcomes. F. Experience creating communications or promotional materials that support fundraising, donor engagement, or alumni relations initiatives. G. One year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years. Special Working Conditions Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving. This position requires in-person work at the college campus during the standard work schedule. The role also involves frequent travel throughout the Greater Phoenix, Arizona area, including Maricopa County, to meet with alumni, donors, and community partners as part of active portfolio management and engagement.
