Assist in fabricating outer caps or mounting tires at the direction of a Coordinator or Supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Before beginning work, inspect equipment to ensure that it is in safe operating condition and that any required preventative maintenance checks have been completed.
- Perform routine maintenance as required.
- Obtain material, parts, and tools as needed to complete the job.
- Set up, adjust, and operate equipment in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner to produce the required parts.
- Work to reduce scrap and improve quality.
- Check work to ensure it meets specifications and tolerances.
- Accurately completes all required paperwork.
- Comply with OSHA Standards.
- Keep the Supervisor or Coordinator advised of any quality problems, concerns, delays, etc.
- Advise the Supervisor of any maintenance work. Maintain an orderly and safe work environment.
- Suggest methods of improvement or alternate methods and materials to reduce cost and/or improve quality.
- Wear all required PPE.
- Demonstrate and embrace all the Wabash Values and Leadership Principles in daily activities.
- Other duties as assigned

- Automated tire machine
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- A high school degree or G.E.D. equivalent is required. Basic reading/writing and verbal skills.
- General computer skills (Excel and Word).
- Ability to read and use tape measure, calipers, and gauging equipment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Exercise independent judgment when performing responsibilities.
- Perform work at a quality level that meets or exceeds the Wabash and ISO standards.
- Ensure that there is a Winning Together mentality to eliminate the "shift versus shift" mentality.
- Shares information with others to help them perform their responsibilities safely and efficiently.
- Copes successfully with unexpected events throughout the day.

Physical Demands:
- Requires a minimum of 10 hours of standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of motion. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work in an environment requiring the use of a ladder or stairs. Must be able to work in adverse climate conditions (hot, cold, dark, loud, etc.) as well as in small spaces, kneeling or bending for extended periods.
