Mechanical Designer

Exential is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our Modular Systems team in McKinney, TX. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and designers to develop 3D model content and construction documents for piping, ductwork, and cabletray systems. You will support BIM coordination, assist with field activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our modular design and construction processes.

• Develop 3D model content and produce construction documents for piping, ductwork, and cabletray systems.
• Participate in BIM coordination by identifying and resolving model clashes and other interdisciplinary issues.
• Assist with onsite project activities, including engineering support for modular construction, site assessments, and verification of asbuilt conditions.
• Support the project team in determining optimal routing and layout of mechanical systems based on spacemanagement requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the company.
• Coordinate mechanical system layouts with other trades to ensure alignment and constructability.
• Assist in developing project deliverables in accordance with design documents and EngineerofRecord specifications.
• Support the production of fabrication drawings under the guidance of lead designers and engineers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
• Assist in performing qualitycontrol reviews of work produced by others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• An Associate's Degree with a technical focus is preferred.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with Autodesk Building Systems Software.

• Experience in Advanced Technology environments.
• Demonstrated success working within a collaborative team setting.
• Experience participating in qualitycontrol review processes.
• Experience contributing to continuousimprovement initiatives.
• Proficiency with Revit and Navisworks.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships across disciplines.
• Energetic, selfmotivated, and detailoriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
