Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Nurse Clinician-Educator for the Parker Health Group Division of Geriatrics in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health.
This position is under the direction of Division leadership. This role will support the clinical, operational, and educational functions of the division team, optimizing the efficiency and productivity of physicians, advanced practice providers, (APPs), and fellows to ensure high quality patient care outcomes and clinical practice growth. Serving as central liaison, this role also facilitates communication across the nine Parker clinical sites in their daily clinical operations and provides care navigation to patients and caregivers. Key responsibilities include clinical and administrative support, coordination and scheduling, billing and compliance, interdisciplinary liaison and care navigation.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Support geriatrics physicians, APP's and fellows to increase efficiency, productivity, revenue, and growth enabling all clinicians to work at the top of their licenses.
- Take and triage daily patient-care related phone calls from all Parker facilities, ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up.
- Assist clinicians with administrative and documentation tasks, including but not limited to completion of clinical and regulatory forms, medication refills, pharmacy consultation report, laboratory and imaging reports.
- Maintain and monitor clinical census and productivity tracking reports.
- Create, maintain and manage clinical and on-call schedules for faculty, physicians, APPs and fellows.
- Ensure timely completion of required clinical encounters and assessments, including nursing home monthly visits, assisted living annual evaluations, and Medicare annual wellness visits.
- Ensure all billing is submitted accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
- At least one (1) year of experience in the clinical area.
- Demonstrated experience in graduate medical education (GME) or academic teaching services.

- Work Environment: Hybrid role requiring a minimum of two in-person days per week at Family Medicine's George St. office or at Parker sites. Additional onsite presence may be required depending on operational needs.
