Diesel Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic Apprentice

We have an immediate position open for a Diesel Mechanic to work on our fleet of trucks at The Dalles Disposal, in The Dalles, OR.

Pay and Schedule:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

• Wage DOE explained below:

Advanced Diesel Mechanic $35.00/hr - $4.000/hr DOE

• Details:
  • 5+ years of diesel mechanic or heavy equipment experience on similar vehicles to our own
  • Certification from accredited Diesel Mechanic Trade School a huge plus
  • Continued training opportunities: Cummins/PACCAR, Air Brake Systems, Electrical, HVAC, Chassis
  • Welding and minor Fab exp a plus
  • Hydraulic Exp a plus

Diesel Mechanic Apprentice $30.00/hr -$35.00/hr DOE

• Details:
  • 1-4 years of diesel mechanic experience on similar vehicles to our own or on Heavy Equipment (Yellow Iron)
    • Automotive experience encouraged to apply
  • Preferred certification from accredited Diesel Mechanic Trade School
  • Training opportunities: Cummins/PACCAR, Air Brake Systems, Electrical, HVAC, Chassis
  • Welding and minor Fab exp a plus

• $1,500 annual safety bonus

• $300 annual boot allowance

• Continued formal chassis and engine training
