We are searching for a Branch Director to lead our Chicago operations. This is a legacy-defining opportunity for a motivated construction professional to run a local self-performing operation backed by an unmatched national reputation.

Position Summary

As Branch Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for PULLMAN's Chicago branch while driving business growth, operational excellence, safety, profitability, and employee development throughout the region.

This role is ideal for a proven construction leader with deep expertise in concrete repair and masonry restoration, strong experience managing union labor environments, and a successful track record leading large-scale self-performed restoration operations.

The Branch Director will oversee branch operations including project execution, financial performance, estimating, business development, workforce planning, and leadership development while maintaining strong relationships with clients, labor partners, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all branch operations including project management, field operations, estimating, business development, and financial performance
  • Drive branch profitability through strategic planning, forecasting, and operational execution
  • Oversee complex self-performed restoration and rehabilitation projects including:
    • Structural concrete repair
    • Masonry restoration
    • Waterproofing
    • Structural strengthening
    • Building envelope restoration
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, general contractors, and union partners
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety, quality control, and operational excellence across all projects
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and emerging leaders within the organization
  • Partner with estimating and business development teams to pursue and secure new work opportunities
  • Lead workforce planning and resource allocation to support regional growth objectives
  • Evaluate project risk, contract exposure, and overall branch performance metrics
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on accountability, leadership development, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of construction leadership experience within the restoration, specialty contracting, or heavy civil industry
  • Strong background in:
    • Concrete restoration
    • Masonry restoration
    • Waterproofing
    • Structural strengthening
    • Specialty rehabilitation projects
  • Previous experience managing operations within a union construction environment
  • Demonstrated success leading large self-performed construction teams and multi-million-dollar project portfolios
  • Proven experience with branch-level financial oversight including P&L responsibility, forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning
  • Strong business development and client relationship management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build trust, mentor teams, and drive accountability across all levels of the organization
