Summary:
The Director, Finance Technology Solutions ERP serves as the primary technology partner to Pacira's Finance organization. This role is responsible for translating Finance business needs into scalable technology solutions and ensuring alignment between financial processes and enterprise systems.

The role will lead Pacira's transition from its current ERP platform to SAP S/4HANA, partnering closely with Finance, IT, and implementation partners to define system requirements, support data readiness, and ensure successful deployment of finance capabilities.

Following ERP implementation, this role will lead ongoing operations, enhancements, and continuous improvement of finance technologies including SAP S/4HANA, OneStream, Ariba, Concur, ADP, and enterprise analytics platforms.

The position works closely with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and Internal Audit to ensure financial systems effectively support reporting, compliance, and decision-making.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Finance Technology Business Partnership
  • Serve as the primary IT liaison for Finance, partnering with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury to understand business needs and technology enablement options.
  • Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for finance systems and processes.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to develop and maintain a technology roadmap supporting financial operations, reporting, and analytics.
  • Lead the development of financial reporting and analytics capabilities, including dashboards and decision-support tools.
  • Communicate system changes, enhancements, and technology initiatives impacting Finance stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate governance over finance system access, segregation of duties, change management, and data quality.
ERP Transformation and SAP S/4HANA Program
  • Represent Finance technology requirements during Pacira's ERP transformation to SAP S/4HANA.
  • Collaborate with Finance and implementation partners to support:
    • Finance process design (e.g., Chart of Accounts)
    • Finance master data standards, data readiness, and migration planning.
    • Master data governance and data quality initiatives
  • Lead coordination of finance data preparation activities including data cleansing, mapping, and validation of legacy ERP data for SAP S/4HANA migration.
  • Lead integration design between SAP and enterprise platforms including OneStream, Ariba, Concur, ADP, banking systems, and data warehouse solutions.
  • Participate in system design reviews to ensure alignment with standard SAP capabilities and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate finance participation in system testing, validation, and deployment activities.
  • Lead cutover planning and hypercare activities during ERP go-live.
Post-Implementation Support and Continuous Improvement
  • Oversee operational integrity of finance system integrations and data interfaces, including monitoring, issue resolution, and change management.
  • Support ongoing operations and enhancement of SAP finance capabilities and integrated financial systems.
  • Monitor system performance and integrations to ensure reliable financial data flows across enterprise platforms.
  • Partner with Finance and Analytics teams to support financial reporting and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Partner with analytics teams to align finance data structures with data warehouse and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI)
  • Lead or support system enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements impacting Finance.
  • Maintain documentation and support compliance with SOX and relevant regulatory requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Organizes project teams, SI partner resources, and vendors; no direct reports initially (subject to program needs).

Interaction:

Engages as a dedicated resource with Finance (Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury), including working closely with Procurement, Internal Audit/Compliance, and external partners.


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Finance/Accounting, or related field; advanced degree/certifications is a plus.
  • 8+ years in Finance technology partnering/solution delivery with handson SAP S/4HANA FI/CO experience (design, data, testing, cutover) and at least one ERP migration from a legacy platform.
  • Demonstrated integration experience with OneStream, Ariba, Concur, ADP, and B2B / electronic data interchange partners such as CMO, CDMO, 3pl and banks.
  • Familiarity with intercompany management reporting.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated industries preferred.

  • Strong understanding of finance processes, including:
    • Record-to-Report
    • Procure-to-Pay
    • Order-to-Cash
    • Financial planning and consolidation
  • Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions and system designs.
  • Familiarity with financial data governance, data migration, and master data management.
  • Understanding of SOX controls and financial system governance.
  • Experience supporting enterprise integrations and financial reporting platforms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business and technology teams.

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this role is $171,000 to $235,000 per year. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications. Depending on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered.
