POSITION OVERVIEW

The Area Director of Food Service will conduct and lead all the daily duties that are the home campus but will also help support other campuses within their respected division. Area DFS will direct the overall operation of the Food Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Ensures that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the food services department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trains new Director of Food Services within the division.
  • Oversees dining services for 2-3 campuses as assigned by Dining Services Support.
  • Conducts visits to assigned campuses to include a review of staffing levels, training checklists for new hires and scheduling trends; evaluate menu rotation as it pertains to utilization and cost; complete site visit form report.
  • Completes sanitation audits at assigned campuses twice annually.
    Completes TSS review in Keystats twice annually.
  • Completes State Readiness audit on every visit.
  • Organizes, evaluates, and directs the Food Services Department.
  • Implements the programs and activities of the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred and;
  • 3-5 years of experience as a DFS with Trilogy Health Services, preferred and;
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Certified Food Service Manager (CFSM) preferred or;
  • Similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body required
  • In states that have established standards for food service, meet State requirements for food service manager or dietary managers.
  • Serve Safe Certified required.
