Job Summary

The Procurement Contract Specialist is responsible for supporting sourcing, contract administration, and contract lifecycle management activities across a variety of indirect procurement categories, including information technology, corporate services, commercial services, and scientific and technical operations. This role works closely with Procurement, Legal, Category Managers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate contract execution, maintain contract documentation, ensure compliance with procurement policies, and support contract lifecycle management processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong contract management expertise, Statement of Work (SOW) review experience, and proficiency with contract lifecycle management systems.

Job Responsibilities



  • Support sourcing and contract management activities across multiple indirect procurement categories.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers to execute supplier agreements and contract-related activities within the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
  • Review, analyze, and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs) and contract terms.
  • Maintain contract documentation, records, and metadata within the CLM platform.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Procurement teams to ensure proper application of contracting standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Support the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of procurement and contract management processes.
  • Monitor contract compliance and procurement policy adherence among internal stakeholders.
  • Provide clear and effective communication to business partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding contract status and requirements.
  • Support contract administration activities throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Assist with procurement operations initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvement projects.
  • Prioritize workload effectively to support business objectives and project deadlines.
  • Generate reports and maintain accurate procurement and contract records.
  • Support special projects and additional procurement activities as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Contract Management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management, or a related function.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting indirect procurement activities.
  • Experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Experience utilizing Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems.
  • Strong understanding of contract management principles and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.


Work Experience



  • Minimum 3 years of procurement, sourcing, contract administration, or contract management experience required.
  • Experience with indirect procurement categories preferred.
  • Experience with IntelAgree or other Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting procurement operations, supplier management, or contract compliance initiatives preferred.
  • Experience in a corporate, professional services, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or technology environment is beneficial.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
