Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Legal Administrative Coordinator (LAC) to support the Litigation Practice Group. Reporting to the Office Manager this position will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative, secretarial and document processing support with guidance to the assigned Practice Group in an environment where superior client service is emphasized and practiced.

Morgan Lewis recognizes the benefits of supporting flexible working arrangements. This position will reside in our Boston, MA office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Flexibility with overtime is required.

What You'll Do

  • Regularly utilize Task Delegation and Workflow Management software (BigHand) maintaining clear communication with team members regarding task status, priorities, workload distribution, and deadlines to support seamless workflow execution.

  • Experienced in supporting litigation matters, including preparing court filings, coordinating case documents, and utilizing e-filing platforms.

  • Draft, edit, proofread and redline correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other legal business communications; prepare and maintain recurring reports; and ensure all work products meet established quality, accuracy, formatting, and firm standards

  • Demonstrates a high level of internal and external client service; screens communication and responds promptly in a clear, concise, professional, and accurate manner.

  • Coordinates meetings; arranges audio and video conferences; reserves conference rooms and arranges set-ups.

  • Maintains attorney calendar and advises attorney of appointments, updates attorney address book and InterAction entries.

  • Assist with time entry, the billing process includes proforma delivery, narrative edits and customized reports.

  • Processes new business intake, related forms, and correspondence.

  • Arranges travel and prepares itineraries; maintains attorney travel and desk profiles.

  • Maintains electronic and/or physical files, calendars, correspondence, and collaborative workspaces; creates and maintains binders.

  • Provides legal research, case support and project assistance.

Who we are looking for

  • At least two (2) years of administrative support experience required.

  • Bachelor's degree a plus.

  • Previous law firm experience required.

  • Largely responsible for the preparation and filing of documents (hard copy and electronic) and their organization and maintenance.

  • Exhibits strategic thinking and initiative in handling assignments and projects.

For positions in Boston, MA, the salary range for this job posting is: $69,898.00 - $90,677.00.

The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
