DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the statewide Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program through training coordination, program guidance, and communication efforts. The work helps ensure strong advocacy and services for older adults across Pennsylvania. As an Aging Services Specialist, you will perform the following duties: * TRAINING SUPPORT: Coordinate and update training modules, conference materials, and statewide curriculum for the Ombudsman Program * PROGRAM MONITORING: Track training activities, review program status, and process feedback for current and future sessions * CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT: Plan topics, identify speakers, and assist with organizing meetings and events for statewide training * CERTIFICATION OVERSIGHT: Manage certification and recertification processes for local ombudsmen and volunteers * PUBLIC MATERIALS: Help design educational materials and ensure content is prepared and posted for public use

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Travel across the Commonwealth to deliver training, attend meetings, and support local program needs This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. - Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience in a human services program conducting human services related research or providing social services to clients, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires 2 years of experience as a local or regional Ombudsman Program representative

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
