Overview

Milton CAT is looking to hire a highly driven EPG Generator Technical Trainer to join our rapidly growing team. If you are a technically strong electrical EPG technician, have solid A/C fundamentals, have a passion for training others and want to support an iconic brand of the highest quality and best supported products in the industry, we look forward to hearing from you.

Milton CAT is looking to invest in and develop the right individual to join one of four CAT Regional Dealer Learning Centers in the US to help develop the skill set of Milton CAT technicians and customers, as well as other CAT dealer technicians.

This will require most training in our Milford headquarters with occasional travel to the other Milton CAT locations.

Pay Range: $80,000-$110,000 annually, with higher compensation available based on skills and experience. This role is also eligible for additional annual performance bonus. Includes a company truck and gas card.



Responsibilities

    Deliver instructor-led, hands-on training for Milton CAT Generator and strategic partner technicians.
  • Develop, update, and maintain training programs, curricula, manuals, and assessment tools.
  • Evaluate trainee performance through written and practical assessments.
  • Manage training laboratories, simulators, generators, and related equipment.
  • Coordinate training schedules, agendas, records, and reporting.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
  • Support training budgets and align programs with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert in generator systems, electrical theory, and safety.


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of generator systems, electrical theory, and low/high-voltage AC/DC applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience designing and delivering technical training programs.
  • Ability to assess training needs and develop effective learning solutions.
  • Willingness to travel to company facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with standby generators and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
  • Experience developing technical training content and facilitating training programs.
  • Prior leadership or team management experience.
