(Locations: Plainfield, IN, Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC & St. Petersburg, FL) Lead Engineering Technologist to serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Generating Station Distributed Control Systems (DCS). The Lead Engineering Technologist/SME will provide technical support for operations, maintenance, and projects for multiple generation technologies across multiple geographic regions. The Lead Engineering Technologist is at the highest level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification. Lead Engineering Technologists provide technical expertise to solve complex problems and utilize the leadership skills necessary to support others intechnical areas of specialization, with minimal supervision and increased latitude for un-reviewed work. Lead Engineering Technologist -DCS SME will provide technical support for control systems at coal, natural gas, solar and bulk energy storage generation facilities. SME will work with plant operations and maintenance personnel to support equipment troubleshooting, SME will coordinate communication with external DCS Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) support groups. SME will coordinate communication of fleet level guidance to internal station and regional DCS support personnel. DCS SME acts as owner of fleet level standards, practices, and procedures.
