Job Description

The Advanced Workforce Center (AWC) at the University of Missouri-St. Louis is a hub for professional and continuing education focused on advancing workforce development and regional economic growth. Through partnerships with employers, government, and community organizations, AWC delivers flexible, high-quality training programs that equip individuals with in-demand skills, support career advancement, and help organizations remain competitive.

The Program Coordinator for the Advanced Workforce Center (AWC) supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of non-credit workforce training programs, including bootcamps, certifications, and professional development offerings. The role ensures effective program execution, enrollment operations, and participant support to drive learner success and program growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Coordination & Delivery - 30%
* Coordinate the implementation of non-credit courses, bootcamps, and certificate programs
* Support scheduling and logistics including instructors, classrooms, and instructional technologies
* Assist with in-person, hybrid, and live-virtual program delivery
* Ensure smooth day-to-day program operations and learner experience
* Manage and process invoices for vendors, corporate clients, and workforce partners, ensuring accurate billing, timely payments, and compliance with university procedures

Enrollment & Participant Support - 30%
* Support enrollment processes including registration workflows and participant onboarding
* Maintain communication with prospective and enrolled participants
* Provide customer-focused support to enhance retention and program completion
* Assist with learner inquiries, program details, and scheduling

Operations, Systems & Data Tracking - 20%
* Maintain accurate program and enrollment records
* Support CRM and enrollment systems functionality and updates
* Track and report on enrollment, participation, and program outcomes
* Assist with data-driven improvements to processes and workflows

Collaboration & Program Development - 15%
* Partner with marketing to support recruitment and outreach efforts
* Collaborate with instructors and leadership to align programs with workforce needs
* Assist in updating and refining program offerings and delivery models
* Contribute to continuous improvement and scalability initiatives

Administrative & Miscellaneous - 5%
* Perform general administrative duties and documentation
* Participate in meetings and cross-functional coordination
* Support special projects and other duties as assigned

As with all positions, they may perform other job-related responsibilities as needed to support departmental and campus-wide needs.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is primarily performed in an office and educational delivery environment with regular interaction with students, instructors, and internal stakeholders. The role requires extended periods of computer use, coordination of multiple tasks, and occasional movement between classrooms or training spaces. The position involves sustained attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication across various audiences.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No direct supervisory responsibilities: may coordinate work of instructors or support staff as needed

Shift

40 hours per week

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRM or enrollment management systems
  • Familiarity with non-credit or continuing education programs
  • Experience supporting hybrid or online learning environments
  • Knowledge of workforce development trends and employer needs
Anticipated Hiring Range

$19.25 - $26.45
