PRIMARY FUNCTION The Training Coordinator will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, assessing training needs, identifying training plans, and the enhancement of employee skills and performance within the organization. Execute the development, implementation, and sustainment of all training within our organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Identify training gaps and create training material to aid in higher productivity amongst the team and ensure compliance. Research and identify future training needs and build the appropriate curriculum to facilitate the training. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and leaders to ensure continuous improvement and meet objectives. Be expert in maintenance of Learning Management System (LMS): initiating newly defined requirements into LMS, identifying personnel required to complete said training/certification, ensuring frequency requirements are observed Conducts effective induction and orientation sessions Monitors and evaluates training program's effectiveness, success and Return On Investment Maintain the training and documentation program to keep it current with changes in department procedures and within government policies and procedures. Maintains a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices Conduct all annual training for contract personnel and will provide supervised training to government personnel as needed. Evaluate, develop and maintain training policies and procedures to ensure all Department of the Air Force and contractual requirements are met.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Advanced computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred Ability to enter data accurately into databases. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc. Must always represent the company in a professional manner. Must be trustworthy - will handle confidential information routinely Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others. Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc. Ability to follow a process. Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up. Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas. Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management. Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
QUALIFICATIONS
BA / BS in Human Resources, Education or related field with 5+ years training experience in a government contracting environment is preferred Proven track record as a training coordinator/officer designing and implementing successful training programs Excellent communication and leadership skills Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a local area background check
