Epic HB Charge Router Analyst *Location:* Remote (Candidates must reside in one of the approved states)
*Employment Type:* Contract-to-Hire Position Overview We are seeking an experienced *Epic HB Charge Router Analyst* to support the optimization and standardization of Hospital Billing (HB) Charge Router workflows. This role will partner closely with IT and revenue cycle teams to assess current-state routing configurations, identify gaps, recommend best practices, and establish scalable design standards. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Epic HB Charge Router functionality, including routing architecture, router actions, modifier stamping, charge destination behavior, and Workqueue exception management. This individual will also play a key role in knowledge transfer and mentoring to ensure long-term sustainability of Charge Router operations. *Key Responsibilities* * Evaluate and document current-state Epic HB Charge Router configurations and workflows. * Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization. * Design and implement Charge Router standards, routing patterns, and best practices. * Support alignment of Charge Router workflows with Workqueue management strategies. * Develop and maintain decision logs, change documentation, and project tracking artifacts. * Partner with stakeholders to ensure routing configurations support operational and revenue cycle goals. * Provide hands-on guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to internal IT teams. * Collaborate with project leadership to maintain project timelines, priorities, and communication plans. * Support testing, validation, and deployment of Charge Router enhancements. *Required Qualifications* * Epic Hospital Billing (HB) certification or equivalent experience preferred. * Strong hands-on experience with Epic HB Charge Router. * Expertise in routing architecture, router actions, modifier stamping, and charge destination behavior. * Experience working with Workqueue exception workflows and revenue cycle operations. * Ability to analyze existing configurations and recommend scalable solutions. * Strong project management and documentation skills. * Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills. * Experience facilitating knowledge transfer and end-user training. *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience supporting large-scale healthcare systems or enterprise Epic environments. * Skills in revenue cycle optimization and workflow redesign. * Experience leading system enhancement or operational improvement initiatives. *Location Requirements* Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
