Summary Job Description: Job Description Unit Description: 6B is a 23 bed post interventional telemetry unit. Staff receive specialized training for post catheterization, femoralsheathsand Tikosyn administration. Medical and post-procedural patients are cared for on this unit in addition to complex GI Oncology surgical post-op patients and inpatients needing chemotherapy and telemetry. Shift:Part-Time, Nights Job Description: Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care teammember Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures Performs routine duties toassistmedical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients. Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA) required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation.(Must provide a letter from school verifying completion of first yearclinicals.) Basic Life Support-Applicants will have30 daysfrom their hired date to provide completion of this certification if theydon'thave it already.
