PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Schedules and performsvehicle and equipment repairsin response to requests from staff and location managers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Schedules maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment as requested. Maintains an appropriate inventory of parts necessary for repairs and maintenance. Maintains service records of each piece of equipment and vehicleto documenta quality maintenance program and meet DOT requirements. Responsible for housekeeping of the shop. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS May be required to provide backup to drivers in the Energy and Crops Departments. FollowsGROWMARK'sCode of Conduct andCorporate Compliance Program,Environmental Health and Safety,OSHAand DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Normally requires ahigh school diploma, or the equivalent thereof,and5years or moreof relatedwork experience Required skills include fabrication, cutting, welding, bearing replacement, engineservice/maintenance/adjustments (both gas & diesel), automotive electrical, brake adjustment/repair (both mechanical & air) and hydraulic troubleshooting/repair. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Normally requires an acceptable CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsements. Frequently exposedor required to:
Ability to work extended hours. Ability to travel independently and overnight. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
