What You'll Do
What We're Looking For We're looking for a field-focused professional who combines technical curiosity with sound judgment, strong documentation habits, and a team-first mindset. You're someone who takes pride in doing the details right, stays alert to quality and safety, and wants to keep growing in transportation construction inspection.
Qualifications
Experience You should bring at least 1-3 years of direct experience in highway construction inspection or a closely related field, along with demonstrated success performing field documentation, inspections, and coordination in active construction environments. Familiarity with NYSDOT specifications and procedures is preferred but not required. Technical Responsibilities
Management, Supervision, and Guidance This role typically works independently on assigned inspection tasks while partnering closely with senior inspectors, resident engineers, and project managers. You'll be expected to use good judgment in the field, escalate issues when needed, and contribute to a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. As your experience grows, this role offers a path toward greater autonomy and increased field leadership responsibility.
