Lead Equipment Maintenance Technician, Model Y, Body in White

The successful candidate will have hands on experience in all facets of Equipment maintenance. Maintenance team leadership experience supporting sustainable production as well as newmodelsand/or new equipment introductions is essential.

This person must be able to build upon previoussuccesses and take their Maintenance team to the next level. They must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect safety, quality, production efficiency, equipment maintenance, etc. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.

• Lead of hourly Maintenance Technicians. This is a hands-on working lead role
• Workforce management: day to day line support; in-house equipment maintenance repair work; vacation scheduling; OT & weekend work scheduling
• Standard development and creation of work procedures and methods
  
• Project management: both internal maintenance projects, and minor contractor projects
  
• Procedures & PMs, develop & maintain proper documentationofall necessary procedures; periodic maintenance tasks; equipment changes (electrical, spare parts upgrades, mechanical), etc.
  
• Assist with budget development and reporting
• Training and directing the training of Junior Maintenance Associates

• 5+ years of extensive experience withtroubleshootingand correcting industrial equipment maintenance - breakdowns and failures.Robotic, Hydraulics and Controls skills
• Must have expertise in one trade, proficiency in others, and the willingness to learn additional
• Maintenance team leadership experience
• Project management experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Proficient in downtime reports. Daily Pass down reports
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Essential Physical Demands

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
• Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
• Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
• Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
• Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, arm protection, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
