A Brief Overview

Provides Human Resource customer service and support to internal and external customers by managing all front office processes.

What You Will Do

  • Provides administrative support to the Human Resources department, including answering main line, manage all mail and incoming paperwork.
  • Manages daily requests for employee replacement, student, physician, and vendor badges and partners with the police department to ensure appropriate level of security card access.
  • Triage employee or leader concerns and redirect as appropriate
  • Provides excellent service to internal and external employees/clients/customers.
  • Ensures effective new hire and transferred employee onboarding by managing and preparing for orientation, including I-9 processing, fingerprinting, parking, IT letters and badging
  • Filing, tracking and follow-up with leader for Section II's and initial employment evaluations
  • Partners with HR Services/Payroll/Recruiting to resolve specialty issues such as Kronos and paycheck errors, MDA transactions, and non-employee/multiple assignments/transfer issues.
  • Maintains online and legacy paper employment records to ensure that UH record retention and Joint Commission requirements are met.
  • Directly facilitates or assists with department projects.
  • Provides verification of employment and other letters as requested for special circumstances.

  • Generates reports and creates & maintains data tracking as needed.
  • Performs audit activities as requested to ensure department compliance.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
