Job Description
ECU Office of Undergraduate Admissions is currently seeking personable, energetic, and enthusiastic students to serve as Tour Guides/Pirate Navigators.
Tour Guides play an important role in welcoming prospective students, families, and other campus visitors to East Carolina University. In this position, students will lead engaging and informative campus tours while sharing valuable information about ECU's academic programs, campus facilities, student life, history, traditions, and resources.
Tour Guides are expected to create a welcoming and interactive experience for guests, answer questions, and represent ECU and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in a positive and professional manner.
Additional responsibilities may include assisting with Admissions events, supporting office initiatives, and completing other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
Tour Guide shifts are primarily scheduled Monday through Friday during the following time blocks:

  • 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Special Admissions Events (Open House, Pirate Nation Bound, etc.) will include Saturdays


Schedules may vary based on campus visit and event needs.
