Position Overview
| Essential Job Duties |
The Atcha Lab based at NC State is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar to investigate how mechanical and biochemical cues regulate cell-cell interactions during cardiovascular disease.
The lab combines mechanobiology, biomaterials, and molecular biology to uncover mechanisms of cardiac disease and identify new therapeutic targets. |
| Other Work/Responsibilities |
- Postdoctoral research scholar will form and conduct their own independent research projects and will support undergraduate and graduate students.
- They will also contribute in the writing of grant proposals and will present findings at research conferences.

| Department Required Skills |
- Strong experience in molecular biology techniques (Westernblot, ELISA, qPCR, immunofluorescence, etc.)
- Experience using statistical analysis software (R, Prism,MATLAB, etc.)
- Experience in analyzing RNA-seq and Single Cell RNA-seqdata sets
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Ability to communicate complex research findings to academic and practitioner audiences.
