As a Consumer Real Estate Closing Specialist, you'll play a key role in helping members access the financing they need while protecting the integrity of each transaction. What you'll do

In this role, you'll guide loans through the final stages of the closing process, partnering closely with members, attorneys, branch teams, processors, and internal stakeholders to ensure every closing is completed accurately and on time. Your work helps create a positive experience for members while maintaining compliance with regulatory and lending requirements.

Day to day, you'll

  • Coordinate and manage home equity loan closings from document preparation through funding.

  • Review loan files, disclosures, and closing documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for members and business partners throughout the closing process.

What you bring

The most successful candidates are detail-oriented professionals who can manage multiple priorities, navigate complex lending requirements, and provide outstanding service while maintaining accuracy under deadlines.

Required Skills

  • Ability to accurately review and prepare legal and loan closing documents.

  • Working knowledge of real estate lending regulations, including TRID requirements.

  • Ability to prioritize a high-volume pipeline while meeting deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills when resolving funding or documentation issues.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with members, attorneys, vendors, and internal teams.

Education/Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) compliance requirements.

You should also be comfortable managing multiple deadlines, adapting to changing priorities, and working independently while maintaining a strong commitment to member service and accuracy.

What sets you apart

  • 3+ years of home equity and/or mortgage processing experience.

  • Experience with MeridianLink Loans PQ or similar loan origination platforms.

  • Experience working within Fiserv DNA or a comparable core banking system.

  • Knowledge of HMDA, Fair Lending, ECOA, and related real estate lending regulations.
