CDC Inventory Control Supervisor - Cranbury, NJ

U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to join our Central Distribution Center (CDC) in Cranbury, NJ. The Inventory Control Supervisor oversees daily inventory operations, leads the Inventory Control team, and ensures inventory accuracy. This position establishes priorities, resolves discrepancies, and partners with warehouse leadership and branch locations to improve product flow, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily inventory control activities to support warehouse operations and customer fulfillment.
• Supervise, train, coach, and develop Inventory Associates while promoting accountability, productivity, and safe work practices.
• Perform and oversee cycle counts, location audits, inventory adjustments, and product investigations to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Establish appropriate minimum and maximum quantities for primary locations to maximize picking efficiency.
• Review daily inventory adjustment reports, investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce inventory errors and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor inventory movement, replenishment, and slotting to optimize product flow and warehouse efficiency.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and electric pallet jacks, in accordance with company safety standards.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to complete inventory transactions accurately.
• Partner with Operations, Receiving, Shipping, Quality, Purchasing, other CDC supervisors and teams, and branch locations to resolve inventory issues.
• Lead inventory initiatives and annual physical inventory preparations, including organizing count teams, preparing shelves, consolidating bins, and conducting audits.
• Ensure inventory locations remain organized, properly identified, and compliant with company standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Lead warehouse and inventory-related projects that improve CDC operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field preferred.
• Previous warehouse supervisory experience preferred.
• Five or more years of warehouse, inventory control, or distribution experience preferred.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and electric pallet jacks.
• Experience using RF systems, warehouse management systems, and inventory reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to identify problems, investigate root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments.
• Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory management software preferred.
• Self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
