Freezer Warehouse Forklift Operator

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and workplace safety procedures.

Experience Requirements

• 1+ years of stand up forklift, sit down forklift, and EPJ experience.
• Experience operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and electric pallet jacks (EPJs) in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Proven ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment while maintaining productivity and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in cold storage, refrigerated, or freezer warehouse environments.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on inventory accuracy and safe product handling.
• Ability to follow GMPs, warehouse procedures, and safety regulations.
• Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or on a team.
• Experience using RF scanners, inventory tracking systems, and warehouse management processes.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to work for extended periods in a freezer environment with temperatures as low as -6F.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb throughout the shift.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including freezer gear, gloves, and steel-toe footwear.
• Comfortable operating material handling equipment for extended periods in cold conditions.

Job Duties

• Safely operate stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and electric pallet jacks (EPJs) in a freezer warehouse environment.
• Load and unload products from trailers, docks, and staging areas while maintaining safety and product quality.
• Move, store, stage, and replenish inventory to support shipping and warehouse operations.
• Accurately scan, track, and document inventory movements using warehouse systems and RF scanners.
• Perform order movement, replenishment, and material handling tasks to support customer orders.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper product placement and handling procedures.
• Follow all company safety policies, GMP requirements, and warehouse operating standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while meeting productivity goals.
• Assist with general warehouse and distribution duties as needed.
