As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing strategic customer relationships and driving sales growth across a defined geographic territory. You will work closely with customers, technical experts, and internal stakeholders to develop tailored solutions, deliver commercial value, and secure profitable business opportunities. This role requires strong technical sales expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will leverage your sales experience, technical knowledge, and relationship management skills to support customer success and business objectives. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing proposals, managing negotiations, and delivering solutions that meet customer needs while achieving revenue and profitability goals.

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing sales activities within an assigned geographic territory and customer portfolio.

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and decision-makers.

  • Identifying new business opportunities and executing sales strategies to achieve growth objectives.

  • Selling products, services, systems, solutions, and projects that require strong technical knowledge and commercial understanding.

  • Leading complex sales processes involving technical, commercial, financial, logistical, and operational considerations.

  • Analyzing customer requirements and developing customized proposals that align with business objectives.

  • Collaborating with technical sales, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

  • Managing important customer accounts and serving as the primary point of contact throughout the sales cycle.

  • Preparing and presenting technical and commercial proposals to customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Negotiating pricing, contractual terms, and commercial agreements to secure profitable business outcomes.

  • Monitoring market conditions, customer trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.

  • Managing sales forecasts, pipelines, and account plans to support accurate business planning and execution.

  • Coordinating resources across multiple functions to ensure successful project and sales execution.

  • Supporting medium & large-sized sales opportunities while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and business performance.

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance commercial effectiveness and customer experience.

  • Developing a strong understanding of customer operating environments and industry-specific challenges.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Have a minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Sales.

  • Have experience managing customer accounts and developing long-term business relationships.

  • Have experience selling technical products, systems, services, or solutions in a customer-facing environment.

  • Have strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage complex sales opportunities.

  • Have strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Have the ability to analyze customer requirements and develop value-based solutions.

  • Have demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve business challenges.

  • Have experience leading programs, projects, or commercial initiatives.

  • Have strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence others.

  • Have the ability to document, plan, market, and execute sales programs and initiatives.

  • Have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and business growth.
