Job Summary
The Warehouse Loader supports daily warehouse operations, including loading and unloading trucks, repackaging products, inventory handling, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This labor-intensive role requires careful attention to order accuracy and the ability to repeatedly lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds. The position uses forklifts and electronic pallet jacks to build and stage loads according to order requirements and shipping documentation.

Job Responsibilities

• Select and load designated products into route and bulk trucks according to order requirements.
• Build and stage accurate loads using forklifts and electronic pallet jacks.
• Verify truck loads against order sheets and shipping documentation.
• Load and unload pallets while maximizing available storage space.
• Rotate products in trucks and the warehouse according to expiration dates.
• Clean and repackage products according to established procedures.
• Identify and properly dispose of damaged or out-of-code products after approval.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness by removing trash, sweeping floors, and operating floor scrubbers as needed.
• Follow warehouse safety procedures and loading instructions.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Work effectively with coworkers to complete loading, staging, and warehouse activities.
• Perform other assigned warehouse duties as needed.

Job Requirements

• Previous warehouse or material handling experience is preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift and handling pallets is preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to pass a background check and required drug screening.
• Ability to successfully complete a forklift skills test, when applicable.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and move products weighing approximately 20-45 pounds throughout a work period.
• Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and moderate noise.
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
• Basic English communication skills required; additional language skills are a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Work Experience

• Previous warehouse, product staging, loading/unloading, or material handling experience is preferred.
• Forklift operating experience is preferred.
